Manusia Disisi AllahSource:

Allah is the almighty creator of everything in the universe, including humankind. As the creator, Allah has a special relationship with humankind that is different from any other creature. In Islam, the position of humankind in the sight of Allah is of utmost importance, and it determines our responsibility and accountability towards Him.

Humanity as the Best of Creations

Humanity As The Best Of CreationsSource:

Allah created humankind as the best of creations, endowed with reason, intellect, and free will. This unique position makes us responsible for our actions and accountable for our deeds. In the Quran, Allah says:

“We have certainly created man in the best of stature.” (Surah At-Tin 95:4)

This verse shows that Allah created humankind in the best form and with the best qualities, unlike any other creature. It also implies that humankind has a special purpose and responsibility in the world.

Humankind as Khalifah on Earth

Humankind As Khalifah On EarthSource:

Allah created humankind as His Khalifah or representative on earth, entrusted with the responsibility to maintain and preserve the balance and harmony of His creation. In the Quran, Allah says:

“And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:30)

This verse shows that Allah made humankind His representative on earth, given the power and authority to maintain the balance of His creation. This responsibility includes taking care of the environment, treating other creatures with kindness and compassion, and promoting justice and fairness in all aspects of life.

Humankind’s Free Will and Accountability

Humankind'S Free Will And AccountabilitySource:

As mentioned earlier, humankind has been endowed with free will and intellect, which gives us the ability to choose between right and wrong, good and evil. However, this free will does not mean that we are free from accountability, as Allah has given us clear guidelines on what is right and wrong.

In the Quran, Allah says:

“By the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, he has succeeded who purifies it, and he has failed who instills it [with corruption].” (Surah Ash-Shams 91:7-10)

This verse shows that Allah has given humankind the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and it is our responsibility to choose the right path and purify our souls. If we fail to do so and indulge in wickedness and corruption, we will be held accountable for our deeds on the Day of Judgment.

Humankind’s Relationship with Allah

Humankind'S Relationship With AllahSource:

Humankind’s relationship with Allah is based on love, obedience, and submission. As the creator and sustainer of everything in the universe, Allah deserves our utmost respect and devotion. In the Quran, Allah says:

“And they have been commanded no more than this: to worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to give zakat, for this is the right way.” (Surah Al-Bayyinah 98:5)

This verse shows that Allah has commanded us to worship Him with sincerity, offer regular prayers, and give charity to the needy. By doing so, we can establish a strong relationship with Him and gain His blessings and mercy.

The Importance of Seeking Allah’s Forgiveness

The Importance Of Seeking Allah'S ForgivenessSource:

Despite our best efforts, we are all prone to committing sins and mistakes. However, Allah is the most forgiving and merciful, and He has given us the opportunity to seek His forgiveness and repent for our sins. In the Quran, Allah says:

“And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.” (Surah An-Noor 24:31)

This verse shows that seeking Allah’s forgiveness is essential for our success in this life and the hereafter. By repenting for our sins and seeking Allah’s forgiveness with sincerity, we can purify our souls and gain His mercy and blessings.

Humankind’s position in the sight of Allah is unique and significant, as we have been created as the best of creations and entrusted with the responsibility to maintain and preserve the balance of His creation. However, this position also comes with accountability and responsibility, as we have been endowed with free will and intellect and are expected to use them for the greater good.

By establishing a strong relationship with Allah, seeking His forgiveness, and following His guidance, we can fulfill our purpose as His Khalifah on earth and gain success in this life and the hereafter.
